"You can't begin to comprehend the complexity or magnitude of the gargantuan Angkor Wat complex until you've stood face to face with it. I would consider myself a seasoned traveler, but never have I come across something so awe-inspiring in all my days". So says a recent passenger on this cruise.

You will begin your journey in Ho Chi Minh City, with a 2-night hotel stay, where you can pick from a range of shore excursions and activities, all of which are included. Meet a Vietnam veteran and tour the Cu Chi tunnels of the Vietnam War. Take a dinner cruise on the Saigon River or explore the local neighborhoods on a vintage Vespa.

ON Day 3, board your ship, The Scenic Spirit, for a 7-night cruise along the Mekong. Visit Cai Be and Sa Dec via sampans and explore the floating markets. Also, in Chau Doc, at the Cambodia border, choose among 2-3 tours, such as visiting a family-operated fish farm. Or, journey to Sam Mountain for expansive views and explore pagodas and shines. Alternatively, visit Tra Su Bird Sanctuary, home to a rich array of wildlife and birds.

Then, arrive into Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia for two days of touring. Ride a rickshaw, visit the National Museum, Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Journey to the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng, the former school that was converted to the main prison of the Khmer Rouge. Or, tour a local food market and cooking demonstration. You can also visit Silk Island and learn about hand looming and dyeing. Lunch today will be off-ship at a restaurant operated by an NGO that supports the education and training of former street children. Meet some of the teachers and students and see how their lives have been changed by this initiative. Later, enjoy a wonderful, traditional Apsara dance performance onboard.

Soak up local culture as you continue cruising to Tonle Sap Lake and Kampong Chhang's floating villages. Visit ancient pagodas and monasteries at Wat Hanchey. Disembark the ship in Siem Reap, where you will enjoy a three-night stay at the Park Hyatt. This region is home to the Angkor Wat complex. You will have many included tours and excursions to choose from during your stay.
